Sauna & ice baths in Ahangama

Heat that means it, cold that's held there, and a café for afterwards. This is what the place was built on.

The sauna

It's hot. Hot enough to matter. Sit in it, get out when you need to, get back in. There's no protocol on the wall and nobody timing you — though if you want a rhythm, the one that works is heat until you're done, cold until you're really done, rest, and again.

The ice

Two baths, held cold — so there's room to go straight from the heat even when it's busy. Three minutes is the honest number. It gets easier — sort of. The first thirty seconds never do, and that's rather the point.

Do I need to book the sauna or ice baths?

No. Walk in any time we're open, pay for the day or use your pass. Only massage and shala sessions need booking.

How cold are the ice baths?

Properly cold, and held there — two baths, so you can go straight in after the sauna even when it's busy. Three minutes is the honest number.

What should I bring?

Swimwear and yourself. Towels are ours.

How much does it cost?

A Recovery day pass (sauna and ice only) is LKR 4,500. Full access — sauna, ice, shala and gym — is LKR 5,000. Memberships bring the per-visit price down.
